In May of 2017, we flew down to Panama City (no the other one) for a Thursday-Monday long weekend trip.  I had always read that the Panama Canal (shown above) was an awesome sight and it did not disappoint.  We stayed at a beach resort, but never went to the beach.  The waves were too rough.  The pool was just as inviting as well as very relaxing. Besides the canal, we took a trip to visit the Embera Indian Village to see how indigenous people live.  Although very touristy, it was kind of fun.  We had to get there by canoe.  The native guide warned us not to put our hands in the water because of the piranha.

Its a great place to visit once to say you've done it.
