Washington D.C.

In November of 2016, Nana & Poppy took Sarah Kate to Washington D.C. for a long weekend trip.  On Friday afternoon, we had called ahead and had a tour of the Capitol building set up through congressman Doug Collins office.  All the staff was very welcoming and gave us a fantastic tour Shown above is us in front of the statue of Trina's hero, Ronald Reagan. That night we went on a monuments after dark tour, which was cold but SK enjoyed it immensely.  On Saturday, we did all the touristy stuff, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, WWII Memorial, Library of Congress, etc..  It was a nice crisp, sunny, fall day and we had time to see lots of stuff.  The one thing SK wanted to see more than anything, the Holocaust Museum, turned out to be "very sad".  A good time was had by all and we flew back safely Sunday morning.
