Craig & Trina's Travel Log
India
In March of 2018, we travelled to India to visit Sreeji Nair, CJT's ace programmer, who had just completed 10 years of service to the company. We flew to Mumbai and spent a day sightseeing before taking a flight to Aurangabad, where Sreeji lived. Because of the insanely advantageous exchange rate with the Indian Rupee, we could stay at the finest hotel in the city, in their best suite for just over $100 a night. For the next 5 days , Sreeji took us on day trips to some awesome sites in and around Aurangabad. We went to see various caves, temples, and forts. The traffic getting to and from these places was utterly chaotic and insane. There are not only cars to deal with, but motorcycles, animals scooters, bicycles, wagons and pedestrians. There is absolutely no chance that a non-Indian driver could go more than down the street before getting in a wreck. We got to walk through some street markets where we seemed to be the center of attention. I was taking pictures of people who were taking pictures of me. All in all, it was a great once in a lifetime experience.
Shown above is how foreign visitors are taken up the 965 steps to the entrance of the Ajanta Caves.
