Craig & Trina's Travel Log
Galapagos Islands
In June of 2019 we took a 4 day, 3 night cruise around the Galapagos Islands. We had to fly to Quito, then take a connecting flight out to the islands. Everyone that sets foot on any of the islands has to be with a tour and has to be accompanied by a certified, native-born naturalist. We went through Columbus Travel ,who made all the arrangements, and did a great job. The wildlife and the scenery were amazing. We got to see several film locations for the 2003 release of the movie, Master and Commander starring Russell Crowe. We got to snorkel every day, which was a bucket list experience by itself (all of us who didn't have a broken foot). The day we snorkeled around Devil's Crown was when I had various seal lions, penguins, and a white tailed shark swim underneath me. We were on a very small 16 passenger yacht and got along great with the crew and other passengers. It was a once in a lifetime experience.
