In July of 2017 we flew up to Reykjavik to see what all the fuss was about Iceland.  We hired Iceland Luxury Tours to take us on a 3 day tour of the Golden circle and through the waterfall/glacier (shown above) region of Southern Iceland as well.  Iceland is a very clean, safe, and expensive place to visit.  All the locals speak perfect English which is a good thing.  Icelandic is a most difficult language to learn.  They have letters we cannot pronounce.  We walked around Reykjavik on our own, including a bus ride out to the Blue Lagoon, the worlds largest thermal springs.  Our favorite experience was the zodiac boat ride out on the Jokusarlon glacier ice lagoon.

IcelandAir has one flight a day leaving JFK up to Reykjavik.  Its a 5 hour flight and gets in around midnight.  Its a once in a lifetime trip  thats well worth the money.
