In March and December of 2018, we took Sarah Kate to New York to See Wicked and Dear Evan Hansen.  Kevin and Kendra came with us for the weekend before New Years trip.  In Spring, we took her to see the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty (shown at right) and Ellis Island.  On the December trip, we went to the 9/11 Memorial, which for a teenage who was not alive at the time, very eye opening and sad.  We walked through Times Square with the 500,000 other tourists visiting at the same time (wish I was exaggerating).  One of the highlights for SK was getting to go to the Gucci section in Saks Fifith Avenue and pick out some makeup.  In the evening we saw the big tree in Rockefeller Center and walked down to St. Patricks Cathedral.  All amazing things to see, despite the fact that it was dang cold.
