Craig & Trina's Travel Log
Peru
In November of 2017, we traveled to Peru to see Machu Picchu (described on another page). The first 3 days of our trip, we stayed in Cuzco, and took day trips to see ancient Incan ruins and the Sacred Valley, where Trina got an up close llama experience (shown above). The first day we were in Cuzco, we had to take it easy, adjusting to the altitude (11,300 ft). During our stay, we were introduced to coca tea, pisco sours, and alpaca meat. (not something you could get at Longhorns or O'Charleys). The town itself is very clean, picturesque and charming (see video below). Police are walking around everywhere so safety is never an issue. Everyone is very welcoming to tourists. We booked everything through Peru for Less who arranged all our hotels, transportation, and tours. We would definitely go back as there is so much to see.
